Work Experience The John David Group / April 2008 – September 2009 Part-time retail assistant in a busy outlet of a fashionable sportswear chain, my duties included serving customers, dealing with customer enquiries, stock control and rotation, check in of deliveries. Clive’s Easylearn Pop Music School / April 2008 – September 2009 Part-time music tutor for guitar, bass and keyboards in a rock school style environment in local halls. The courses are designed for children and adults alike, and a lot of my students were under 16s. I was often called upon to lead the ’jam’ at the end of session - this gives everyone a chance to take part regardless of how far they’ve come through the course. After a few months, I was given more responsibility and was frequently left in charge and/or responsible for lock-up and transport of the company’s equipment from venue to venue. I have also taught privately, guitar and bass. Previous work experience has included working as a general and sales assistant in a music store, general assistant in a supermarket and as a general assistant for our family property rental business. When I moved to Brighton in September 2009 I decided not to work as my studies were quite intensive, but am now back in Bournemouth and actively seeking to work full time. If I’m not out with friends or rehearsing/gigging with the band, most of my spare time at home is spent practising my music, writing my own songs or working on my computer.
