All day entertainment for all the family at Poole Harbour Festival

A full day of fun every day for everyone – that’s the promise as Poole Harbour Festival prepares to return and get the summer off to a flying start.

Thousands of festivalgoers are expected at Baiter Park for the three-day family-friendly festival of live music and entertainment for all ages, with fantastic street food and the emphasis on local produce and makers.

“All the signs are that after the year we’ve all had the people of Poole and beyond are eager to do something safe that feels more like a normal summer,” says Poole Harbour Festival director Ben Dyas.

“And we’re doing everything possible to make people happy and keep everyone safe. There’s a stellar line up, the festival site is bigger so there’s more space, more facilities and bigger bars with managed queuing systems to reassure all our customers.”

With more than 50 live acts on three stages headlined by 1990s Britpop heroes Toploader and, appropriately enough, ‘Staying Out for the Summer’ hitmakers Dodgy, Poole Harbour Festival is all set to make some magical memories.

But that’s not all, with street performers filling the gaps between acts on the music stages, a wide variety of walkabout acts ready to put on an impromptu show at the drop of a hat, and a full children’s programme including awesome dinosaur shows, the Passion For Laughter street shows, Mad For Animals and the award-winning Jamie Jambo, there’s plenty to see and do all day long.

“I can’t begin to explain how thrilled we are that Poole Harbour Festival can once again take its place as a highlight of summer in Poole,” adds Ben. “It will be brilliant to welcome back our regulars whose support has been so important to us over the last year, as well as meet lots of new friends enjoying an incredible day for the whole family.”

Poole Harbour Festival opens at 5pm on Friday, noon on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, closing at 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.
