Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is counting down the days to its premier Football Lunch, taking place at AFC Bournemouth’s Balfour Suite on Friday, February 25. 

Based on the format of the charity’s popular Rugby Lunch, the afternoon includes a three-course lunch, silent auction, live auction, raffles, table games and more. 

Guest speakers for the afternoon are two-time Ballon D’Or Winner and former England International manager Kevin Keegan, regarded as one of the finest players of his generation, and former AFC Bournemouth captain and Trinidad and Tobago international Ian Cox. 

On the event, Kevin Keegan commented: “I am really looking forward to this event and raising lots of money for Diverse Abilities. I’ve played in Bournemouth many times and love the area. We’ll all be sure to have a great laugh, and I’ll be sharing a few tales and insights from everyone I’ve met along the way in my career.”

Tickets for the event, supported by Hot Radio and Hot Gold, are £65 per person and a table of ten can be booked for £600. 

Karen Hay, event manager at Diverse Abilities, added: “We’re thrilled to be kicking off 2022 with a brand-new fundraising event. After a really difficult couple of years, we’re looking forward to hitting the ground running and making sure we can continue to support our vital services for children and adults with learning and physical disabilities across the county.”
