The award-winning family business podcast, It Runs in the Family is celebrating its 2023 success, having reached listeners in 42 countries.

The podcast reached 12,000 downloads in 2023 from listeners across 5 continents. Releasing once a fortnight, It Runs in the Family welcomes a new family business to be interviewed each episode by its hosts Liz and Leila Willingham.

Managing Director and Founder of Dorset-based PR agency, Liz Lean PR, Liz Willingham, and her daughter Leila Willingham, who is Associate Business & Account Director at Liz Lean PR, both host It Runs in the Family. The pair launched the podcast in 2021 to explore the unique adventure that comes with working alongside family. Throughout the past year, the podcast has featured 26 engaging interviews with a diverse array of family businesses including Heck Foods, Joe and Seph’s Popcorn, New Forest Ice Cream, and Maisons Pariente, who have all shared invaluable wisdom and lessons learned through their entrepreneurial journeys.
