The Hall & Woodhouse pub on Dorchester Road, is welcoming teams of up to six people to participate in the evening, which begins at 7.30pm. Spaces are limited due to social distancing measures, and it is advised to arrive early to secure a place. 

Jamie Furnell, pub charity champion at St. Peters Finger, commented: “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone along for an evening of fundraising so bring your thinking caps and your best general knowledge facts and see if you’ve got what it takes to be the winning team on the night.”

The monies raised on the night will go directly to Diverse Abilities, the only organisation in Dorset supporting both children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities, and their families. In 2020/21 the charity provided more than 245,000 hours of vital care and support through both online and face to face services during the pandemic.

Naomi Richards, fundraising officer at Diverse Abilities, added: “We all know how difficult the past 18 months have been for both the charity and hospitality industries, so the fact we are able to work together to help one another is really fantastic. We hope to see lots of people joining us on the night – we’ve even got a few things up our sleeves for those who are attending.”

As part of its additional fundraising efforts for the charity, the pub also donated 25p of each Spiced Indian Bhaji Burger to Diverse Abilities. The dish includes a vegetable bhaji in a glazed bun with tomato, lettuce, mayonnaise, mango chutney, poppadoms and coriander yoghurt and is served with fries.
