The event saw around 30 people come together to take part in an evening of fun entertainment at the independent-living community, which kicked off with a champagne reception, canapes and live music provided by Paul Walker. He performed a host of hits by Frank Sinatra including Come Fly With Me, You Make Me Feel So Young and Witchcraft. 

Homeowners were invited to ‘dress to impress’ for the party, which featured a bespoke three-course menu for them to enjoy while they chatted to their neighbours and their visiting family members who were invited to be guests of the event. It also gave the homeowners the chance to reflect on the two year anniversary of Esprit, which has seen people move home from across the south of England to the community in High Street North.

The summer supper club party is one of a host of activities that homeowners have participated in over the summer, with ideas and event support coming from Esprit’s homeowner social committee. The committee was set up to enable homeowners to share their ideas for clubs and events that could be hosted in the community’s homeowners’ lounge and bistro. Recent activities have included film nights, cream teas and charity events to support the local Poole Hospital Charity, with crafting activities about to begin for a charity fundraising event.

Esprit is based in the centre of Poole just a two-minute walk to the shops and cafes in the Dolphin Shopping Centre, a four-minute walk to the Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts, and a seven-minute walk to Poole Park.

It will play host to an open week from Monday 13 September to Sunday 19 September which will offer the chance for members of the public to have a look at the facilities available, and reserve an apartment within the community.
