There are vacancies across the organisation, from backstage and administration roles, to front of house, catering and technical.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to join our enthusiastic, award-winning teams at Lighthouse on the eve of our busiest and most exciting autumn programme for many years,” says General Manager Martyn Balson.

There are two sessions, at 10am and noon, with Lighthouse staff members on hand to answer questions about working at one of the UK’s most significant cultural venues, explain more about its work that perhaps audiences don’t always see and guide tours of the iconic building, a Poole landmark for more than 40 years.

After a difficult time during the pandemic, Lighthouse has unveiled a packed programme for the autumn that includes a stunning new concert season with the world class Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in its home venue, as well as major international artists like Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, Grayson Perry, Rob Brydon, Frank Skinner and Katherine Ryan. Lighthouse will also welcome revered touring companies such as Gecko, Motionhouse, Shechter II, Stuff and Nonsense, English Touring Opera and Diverse City, as well as popular entertainers including Jimmy Carr, The Bootleg Beatles, Pam Ayres and Bridget Christie.

In lockdown Lighthouse supported a range of theatre companies and emerging artists who will showcase new work in its venues this autumn such as SISATA, Joli Vyann, The Last Inklings and Louise Jordan, as well as partnering off-site events including Roundabout pop-up theatre festival and Inside Out Dorset festival of performances outdoors.
