Pukka Pads launches brand-new product in partnership with local education provide

Pukka Pads, the UK’s leading stationery brand, has invested £12,000 to produce a brand-new product to enhance children’s education in Dorset and across the rest of the UK.

The Dorset founded brand has partnered with Poole-based Kingsbury Education to create its first Vocabulary Book, to aid the learning and language development of students aged 8 and up.

The initial concept, created by Kingsbury Education, grew from years of teaching experience, leading to understanding what the perfect solution is for students to effectively expand, learn and then apply new vocabulary.

The new B5 Vocabulary Book is now part of Pukka Pads’ permanent collection and while the initial concept was a collaboration between Pukka and Kingsbury Education, the product is now available online to support primary, secondary and further education pupils across the country, as well as those looking to learn a new language.

Chris Stott, CEO of Pukka Pads, said: “I have known the founders of Kingsbury Education for years and when they approached us with the idea of producing a Pukka Pads Vocabulary Book to help children’s learning, I knew we would be the perfect partner to make this product a reality.

“Our creative team prioritised both the learning benefits and functionality of the Vocabulary Book when considering its design to ensure it was exactly what pupils need. We first produced a sample and shared with students and their parents to collate as much feedback as possible before finalising the product at the end of last year. The feedback stage was imperative for us and ensured we produced a product that fully meets students’ requirements. Our customers trust our products, and our commitment as a brand to quality, innovation and functionality was no different for the production of this new product for Kingsbury.

Peter Broadhead, Director of Kingsbury Education, said: “We are so delighted to have collaborated with Pukka Pads and are immensely proud of the new Vocab Book we’ve created. We always prioritise our students’ learning and invest in different ways we can help them learn most effectively. Like most of the best ideas, the idea for this Vocab Book came about out of necessity, a solution to a problem.

Vocabulary is key to our students’ learning and, without anything like it out there, we had to come up with a way in which they could gather new words, record them, refer back and learn. The Vocab Books are instrumental to our lessons and for our students’ learning at home and we’re so excited to now be able to offer this invaluable tool to other children across the nation. Our learning superheroes now have an indispensable sidekick to help them!

“For many of our students, the Vocab Books have spurred them on to challenge themselves to find and record as many new words as they can – expanding and improving their vocabularies in the process. By building their vocabularies, through the continued use of the Vocab Books, our students are significantly improving their 11+ progress and achievement by working faster, answering more accurately, and scoring higher.

“Additionally, our students’ parents have seen a noticeable improvement in their children’s vocabulary and in their determination to find, collect and learn new words.”

Pukka Pads is an independent British family business that was established in 1999 in Dorset. Today, the brand’s products are sold in 43 countries across the world.
